What is the Bulldog
Club?
The Bulldog Club is an all-encompassing organization dedicated to providing
advice, assistance, financial support, fan support, and community leadership
to the UMD Intercollegiate Athletic Program.
Who manages the Bulldog
Club?
A board of trustees made up of people who reflect the diverse nature of UMD
athletics heads the Bulldog Club. Membership is open to anyone interested in
supporting and advancing UMD Athletics, and members undertake various activities
and projects through sub-committees which report to the board.
Support is the Objective
The objectives of the BULLDOG CLUB are:
- To enhance the profile
and visibility of the UMD athletic program, its teams, and its student-athletes.
- To expand the level
and scope of support for the UMD athletic program among the community and
alumni.
- To strengthen and establish
positive relations with the community and alumni in support of UMD athletic
program activities.
- To provide financial
and other resources in support of the UMD athletic program.
Building and maintaining
a community support base for the UMD athletic program is a priority of the BULLDOG
CLUB. Such a strong, unified club provides the synergy, efficiency, and collective
effort which will ensure unprecedented community support for all UMD teams and
student-athletes.
Membership and Leadership
The BULLDOG CLUB is open to anyone interested in supporting, promoting, and
advancing UMD athletics. Club members undertake various activities, programs,
and projects -- including Parents' Nights, tournaments, special events, youth
days, the annual UMD All-Sport Awards Banquet, and the Hall of Fame Induction
Dinner, - -- through sub-commitees. Each subcommittee reports, through a chairperson,
to the BULLDOG CLUB board of trustees, which is comprised of individuals who
reflect the diverse nature of the Athletic Program and its supporters.
