Chase Vogler, who figured in on five touchdowns in the University of Minnesota Duluth's 70-24 triumph at Concordia University-St. Paul Saturday night and put up some career-high numbers in the process, has been chosen the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Offensive Player of the Week.


The 6-1, 195-pound senior quarterback from Inver Grove Heights, Minn. made good on 22 of 26 passes for 296 yards and three touchdowns and also rushed for another 100 yards and two scores (including a 45-yard jaunt) on just 10 carries. The 296 passing yards, 22 completions and 396 yards of total offense were all personal highs for Vogler, who took his last snap of the evening late in the third quarter.


The owner of a  39-4 record as a collegiate starter, Vogler currently ranks fifth in the nation in quarterback efficiency (180.91) and has completed 71.8 percent of his passes to date (51 of 71 with no interceptions).
