IT'S THE HOTTEST TICKET ON CAMPUS -- AND GETTING HOTTER!

They began hunkering down in the Sports and Health Center lobby late Monday morning and by the time the University of Minnesota Duluth athletic ticket office opened its windows for business at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday -- nearly 24 hours later -- the number of students had swelled to nearly 500, forming a line which stretched through eight campus buildings.

At 12 noon, close to 700 student season tickets for the 2012-13 Bulldog men's home schedule had been sold.The hottest ticket on campus, indeed.

UMD, which was 25-10-6 overall one year ago, finished second in the 12-team Western Collegiate Hockey Association standings and earned its third NCAA Tournament berth in four seasons, will launch its 69th year of intercollegiate competition on Oct. 12-13 with a two-game non-conference series against Ohio State University at AMSOIL Arena
