BULLDOGS DOUBLE UP NATIONAL PRESEASON RANKINGS

UMD is ranked nationally to start its season for a 14 consecutive year.
The University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey team begins practice on Sept. 24, and when the Bulldogs skate out on the ice at AMSOIL Arena, they will carry with them some early national respect.
UMD was selected No. 7 in the preseason USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine women's college Hockey poll Tuesday and tabbed No. 8 in the USCHO.com's presason poll a day earlier. In the program's 14 seasons, the Bulldogs have never been left out of a national preseason top-10 ranking.
The Bulldogs will host the Minnesota Whitecaps on Sept. 28-29 at AMSOIL, with exhibition games slated for 7:07 p.m. Friday night and 3:07 p.m. Saturday afternoon.
