University of Minnesota Duluth sophomore Aaron Roth has been chosen the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Special Teams Player of the Week for his spirited efforts in the Bulldogs' 42-34 victory over visiting Augustana College last Saturday.

The 5-9, 185-pound Plymouth, Minn., native returned two kickoffs, including one for 92 yards and a second-quarter touchdown, and one punt for six yards in helping the Bulldogs roll to their 36th straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference home triumph. Roth, the first Bulldog in 12 years to bring back two kicks for scores in a single season (he also had one in the UMD's home opener against Winona State University two weeks ago), currently ranks second among in the nation in kick returns with a 39.0 yard average.
