BULLDOG CAREER 

As a Junior [2011] - Saw action in all but two games and made 10 starts as a junior, sitting out a mid-season road-trip after suffering a knee injury • averaged nearly a shot per outing, and put 10 of her 15 shots on goal • fired a season-high three shots and added her only goal of the season in a 3-2 win at Concordia St. Paul Oct. 1 • finished the season with a goal and an assist for three points • named to the NSIC All-Academic team.  

As a Sophomore [2010] - Notched two goals as a sophomore in 2010 for a total of four points – one of which was the team’s lone goal in a 1-2 overtime loss at the hands of Regis University on Sept. 4 • contributed 11 shots in 2010 for a .182 shots percentage.

As a Freshman [2009] - Booted one goal as a freshman (in a 6-1 UMD road win over Minnesota-Crookston on Sept. 27) • two of her five shots in 17 games were on net, producing a shots on goal percentage of .200 in 2009. 

BEFORE UMD 

Is a 2009 graduate of Totino-Grace High School • was a four-year starter at forward and the midfielder positions for TGHS • played for Eagles’ head coach Jeff Dennehy • was a team captain, All-North Suburban Conference selection, All-State honoree and team Most Valuable Player during her senior season • had a hand in a pair of Class A State Tournament third-place finishes in 2005 and 2006, and scored a goal in the Eagles’ 2-1 2007 state championship-game victory (which represented the school’s third title since 2000) • was a catalyst in TGHS’ trio of Section 5A championships from 2005-07 • was also a starter on the Eagles’ hockey team for three seasons, lacing up her skates at the center and wing positions • earned three letters with the TGHS track team, as well, receiving all-conference honors for her role in the school’s record-setting 4x200 relay team • was a Student Ambassador as well as a member of the Captain’s Club at Totino-Grace.

Born Abby Leigh Serreyn on November 30, 1990 • daughter of Hubert and Lori Serreyn • has one older brother (Nick) and a younger sister (Lexi) • is majoring in exercise science at UMD.
