Certainly saved some her best softball for last ... Was chosen the 1998 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Player of the Year after doing a number on the UMD record books as a senior ... Established Bulldog single-season marks for batting average (.503), runs batted in (50), total bases (107), doubles (15), put outs (362), and slugging percentage (.728) in 1998 en route to securing All-NSIC honors for a third straight year...Played a integral role in UMD's conquest of four consecutive NSIC titles (going 41-3 in the process) and its first-ever NCAA II Tournament berth (1996) ... Closed out her playing days as the Bulldogs’ all-time batting average (.441), slugging percentage (.638) and on-base percentage (.454) leader... Captained the Bulldogs during her final collegiate go-around ... Earned UMD’s Outstanding Senior Female Athlete Award for 1997-98 ... Owns a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in elementary education from UMD (1998) and a Master of Arts degree in sport administration from Central Michigan University (2000) ... Spent of pair of seasons (1999 and 2000) as a Central Michigan graduate assistant softball coach ... Was awarded a Women's Sports Foundation post-graduate scholarship ... Is a native of Proctor, Minn.
