(1962-66)

Became Minnesota-Duluth's first hockey All-American following the 1965-66 season ... finished first among Bulldog defensemen in scoring in each of his four collegiate seasons ... was chosen to the All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association second team as a senior and was the Bulldog's Most Valuable Player that year as well ... racked up 90 points (25 goals and 65 assists) in 104 lifetime outings with the Bulldogs ... was bestowed with Minnesota-Duluth's Top Scholar-Athlete Award for 1964-65 ... graduated from Minnesota-Duluth in 1966 and spent the ensuing 22 years in the Duluth Public Schools system as a teacher ... attained his master's degree in 1971 ... coached high-school hockey for 16 of those years at Duluth Denfeld (1970-84) and Duluth East (1984-86) and posted an even 200 victories.
