Holds the distinction of being the first female NCAA Division II individual titleholder UMD has ever produced ... reigned as the NCAA II indoor high jump champion in 1990 and placed second in that same event later that year at the national outdoor competition ... repeated her second-place finish at the NCAA II outdoors as a senior while landing All-American recognition for a then school-record fifth time ... won the Northern Sun Conference outdoor high jump title on three occasions (1989, 1991 and 1992) and the indoor crown twice (1990 and 1991) ... still owns UMD records in both the indoor (5' 9.25") and outdoor high jump (5' 8.25") ... was the co-winner of the the Bulldogs' Outstanding Female Athlete Award in 1991-92 ... originally came to UMD to play basketball ... is a native of Crosby, Minn. ... earned her Graduate Dental Hygiene Degree from UMD in 1992.
