Landed All-American first team and All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association second team honors in 1972-73 ... finished first among Bulldogs in scoring as a junior with 63 points in 36 games while being named the club's Most Valuable Player ... still holds Minnesota-Duluth's record for fastest hat trick (2:37 set on Jan. 13, 1973 against Michigan Tech which helped the Bulldogs rally from 6-2 deficit with 5:21 remaining in regulation to defeat the Huskies 7-6 in overtime at the Duluth Arena) ... left Minnesota-Duluth after his junior season owning the fourth highest points per game average (1.30) in school history ... was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the ninth round of the 1972 National Hockey League draft ... went on to spend 10 seasons in the NHL with the Toronto Maple Leafs (1975-80), Hartford Whalers (1980-81), and Pittsburgh Penguins (1981-85) ... skated in a total of 802 MHL regular season and playoff games and scored 447 points (181 goals and 296 assists) ... is a native of Windsor, ONT.
