Scored more career goals (100) than anyone in UMD hockey history ... was a member of the All-Western Collegiate Hockey Association second team in 1974-75 and 1975-76 and finished as the Bulldogs’ leading scorer both of those two seasons ... closed out his collegiate playing days with a then-school record 198 points in 146 games ... captained the Bulldogs as a senior and served as an alternate team captain the previous two winters ... held club marks for points in a season (63 in 1975-76) and hat tricks in a career (six) when he hung up his UMD skates for good ... was affectionately known as "Munch" during his Bulldog playing days ... went on to skate with the Syracuse Blaze of the North American Hockey League (1976-77), the Minnesota Fighting Saints of the World Hockey Association (1976-77), and the Kalamazoo Wings of the International Hockey League (1977-80) ... helped lead Kalamazoo to a pair of IHL titles (1978-79 and 1979-80) and Syracuse to one NAHL crown ... spent nine more seasons playing professionally in Italy and represented that country at the 1984 Winter Olympics ... is a native of Thursday Bay, Ontario.
