Captured the 1981 Northern Intercollegiate Conference individual title after finishing second the previous year ... Earned All-NIC status on three occasions (1980-82) ... Placed second at the 1984 Minnesota Golf Association State Amateur Tournament ... Turned professional in 1985 and became a member of the Professional Golfers' Association of America (PGA) in 1989 ... Is a eight-time National PGA Professional Championship qualifier (1989-91, 1994, 1996-97, 1999-2000 and 2011) and two-time PGA Senior Club Professional Championship qualifier (2009, 2013) ... Has won a number of PGA events over the years, including the 1989 Illinois PGA Fall Classic, the 1999 Northern Ohio PGA Club Professional Championship, the 2000 Northern Ohio PGA Section Championship, the 2009 Northern Ohio PGA Senior Match Play Championship and the 2013 Ohio Senior Open ... Was inducted into the Northern Ohio PGA Hall of Fame in 2017 and three years earlier was bestowed with the the Northern Ohio PGA Golf Professional of the Year award ... Has been employed as the head PGA Professional at Lakewood Country Club in Westlake, Ohio since 1992 ... Is a native of Duluth ...
