The University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Intercollegiate Athletics was once again rewarded for its innovative marketing efforts this week when it received five "Best of" Awards from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA) at the organization's annual convention in Dallas,TX.
UMD was bestowed with a trio of Gold citations, one Silver, and one Bronze honor for its exemplary marketing and fan-experience work during the 2015-16 sports season. Awards were voted on by marketing and administrative professionals in all divisions across the NCAA.

Brian Nystrom to win these prestigious and coveted NACMA "Best Of" marketing and fan experience awards. This year was particular special with the
50th Year of Bulldog Women's Athletics Celebration earning a Gold award. Again, we appreciate BULLDOG COUNTRY for helping us achieve these distinctions and to Flint Group for our great marketing partnership."
The following is a listing of UMD's five awards:
- Gold in Revenue Generation. The Bulldogs partnered with maurices on the 50 year Celebration of Women's Athletics. 50 Year Celebration was capped off with a fundraising effort to raise scholarship dollars for women's athletics.
- Gold in Sponsorship Activation. UMD Athletics won this award for their work with Blue Stone Lofts and Blue Stone Flats (Summit Management Group). This sponsorship featured a mural on the steps entering AMSOIL Arena.
- Gold in Video Board Segment. The Bulldogs were cited for their creative "Whack-A-Mole" video board concept at UMD Hockey.
- Silver in Promotional Schedule Poster. UMD Athletics won this award for their work with Westmoreland Flint in the design of the 2015-16 Bulldog schedule posters.
- Bronze in Promotional T-Shirt Design. A t-shirt was created for the UMD Penalty Box Student Section as part of their season ticket package featuring the iconic "UMD WHAT" chant.
