Stadium Journey discovered once again what University of Minnesota Duluth fans have known all along -- that AMSOIL Arena is one terrific college hockey facility!

The monthly web site magazine, which focuses on rating stadium experiences from around the world, released its 2017 list of the college hockey arena experiences and ranked AMSOIL Arena No. 1 overall for the second year in a row. The home of Bulldog men's and women's hockey since the midpoint of the 2010-11 season, the 6,756-seat AMSOIL Arena received a perfect five stars from Stadium Journey for atmosphere, location, fans, access, and ticket prices (return on investment) and four stars for concessions and access.

The Stadium Journey's review of AMSOIL Arena ends with this concluding statement:

"Having just been opened in 2010, AMSOIL Arena is a relatively new venue. However, once you take in the entire experience, you're sure to get a vibe that's steeped deep within University of Minnesota-Duluth tradition. Simply stated, you feel like you're at an older arena, and that's not a bad thing.

"AMSOIL is certainly one of the best college hockey game day experiences you'll find in the state, if not the entire U.S. Midwest. It's more than just getting your money's worth, it's an experience that'll make you want to recommend attending a game here to others, even if they're not UMD Bulldog fans."
