BEFORE UMD: Three-year starter at Rice Lake High School ... saved his best football for last -- established Warrior single-season records for passing yards, total yards, and passing touchdowns as a senior en route to snaring All-Big Rivers Conference second team honors ... was used at quarterback, cornerback and punter during his prep career ... played for head coach Dan Hill and handled the team's captaincy responsibilities in 2014 when the Warriors advanced all the way to the WIAA Division 3 state championship game before falling to Wisconsin Lutheran High School ... also lettered two times in basketball (guard) and one in baseball (outfielder) at Rice Lake H.S.
