While the temperatures continue to fall, the excitement is rising for anglers young and old as they prepare for Duluth's Big Jig Ice Fishing Contest.

This Sunday (Feb.14), Pike Lake will once again be the site for the University of Minnesota Duluth Athletic Department's 10th annual event, which runs from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and is limited to the first 3,000 entrants.

2010 Big Jig Contest prizes are worth over $50,000 for the top 100 catches. The list includes a $5,000 in cash (1st Prize), a three-day trip with Voyagaire Houseboats (2nd prize), a Honda BF15 HP Outdoor Motor (3rd Prize), a 2009 Yamaha Grizzly 350 4x4 ATV (50th prize) and another $1,000 in cash (100th largest fish).
