BULLDOG SPOTLIGHT: KRISTIN DANIELSON

During the past four springs, Kristin Danielson has made life generally miserable for opposing batters -- not to mention opposing pitchers. The University of Minnesota Duluth senior star will exit the Bulldog program sometime within the next month or two owning virtually every school career pitching record as well as the distinction of being arguably the best hitting hurler in team history. Danielson, a three-time all-conference selection and a member of the 2009 NFCA All-Central Region second team, currently sports a nifty .322 lifetime batting average and is hitting .339 this spring while filling the cleanup spot in the Bulldog lineup. She has captained a club which is off to a 14-5 start and seeking to secure its first NCAA Division II Central Regional berth since 2007 -- the year Danielson became the first and only Bulldog to ever be named the North Central Conference Freshman of the Year.
