University of Minnesota Duluth Athletics not only enjoyed a record-setting year in the three C's -- competition, classroom and community  -- during the 2013-14 season (for a complete UMD year-in-review click here), but the Bulldogs also reached new heights in generating resources needed to achieve those successes. 
 
In all, over $1.3 million was raised from 1,500 donors for the 2014 fiscal year, which ended on June 30. This was an increase of approximately $500,000 from 2012-13 (when $810,000 was generated) and nearly a 300% gain over the $460,000 raised two years ago.  The $1.3 million includes current and future gifts to the Bulldog Club Annual Fund as well as named scholarships, program support, capital projects and various fundraising events.
 
"As the cost of excellence rises alumni, donors and boosters of Bulldog Country continue to assist in providing the financial resources necessary for our student-athletes and coaches to earn success," said UMD Athletic Development Director Gary Holquist.
