UMD WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY FINISHES 26TH AT NCAA DIVISION II CHAMPIONSHIP


The University of Minnesota Duluth women's cross country program finished in 26th place at the NCAA Division II Championship in Saint Leo, FL on Saturday. 

The Bulldogs scored 580 points on the day and were led by a 60th place finish by first team NSIC All-Conference member Julia Nielsen (21:44.7).  The duo of Morgan Radel (22:21.5) and Mackenzie Hall (22:22.9) finished 112th and 116th. The remaining Bulldogs finished 187th (Maddie Verkerke, 23:17.9), 190th (Anna Eich, 23:20.1), 207th (Lauryn Renier, 23:38.0), and 218th (Alexandra Robran, 23:53.4).

The Bulldogs reached the NCAA Division II Championship for the tenth time in program history and were ranked as high as 18th in the country this past season (the Bulldogs highest national ranking since 2017).
