The University of Minnesota Duluth Department of Intercollegiate Athletics was once again rewarded for its innovative marketing efforts when it received a pair (silver) "Best of" Awards from the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA).
UMD was bestowed with a pair of silver citations for its exemplary marketing and fan-experience work during the 2021-22 sports season, specifically for the Bulldogs promotional giveaway efforts and men's and women's hockey hype videos. Awards were voted on by marketing and administrative professionals in all divisions across the NCAA.
"To win these prestigious and coveted NACMA "Best Of" marketing and fan experience awards takes a team effort and a big thank you to BULLDOG COUNTRY for helping us achieve these distinctions," said UMD Associate Athletic Director of External Relations Brian Nystrom.
Initiated in 2003, the NACMA "Best Of" Awards program honors outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 16 categories, with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. In 2021-22 nearly 1,000 entries were submitted through the NACMA Community.
