#22 Women’s Basketball To Take On CSP and WSU Before The Holiday Break

The No.22 University of Minnesota Duluth women's basketball looks to take on the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears before returning home to Romano Gymnasium to host the Winona State University Warriors.

THE SEASON SO FAR

 

The Bulldogs are 7-2 overall with a 4-1 conference record following their most recent loss to Southwest Minnesota State. UMD checked in at No.22 in yesterday's WBCA coaches rankings, falling from their previous No.19 spot but remaining as the only Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) team within the top 25. They rank first in the conference for blocks per game and field goal percentage, as well as top three in five other statistical categories. 

 

SCOUTING REPORT

 

The Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears are 8-2 overall this season with a 4-1 conference record with their recent victory over the University of Sioux Falls. The Bulldogs are 6-5 against the Golden Bears since 2014, including their victory over the CSP in the first round of last year's NSIC tournament. The Winona State University Warriors are 3-6 overall with a 3-2 conference record following their wins over Wayne State and Augustana. The Bulldogs are 7-3 against the Warriors since 2013, with their most recent matchup going in the favor of UMD 66-40 in last season's 80's theme night. 

 

LOOKING AHEAD

 

Women's basketball will break for the holidays before returning Friday, Jan. 5, to host the University of Mary and Minot State University.
