THE SEASON SO FAR
The Bulldogs have a 6-1 overall record and 3-0 conference record so far this season following their pair of conference wins over the Wayne State College (NE) Wildcats and the Augustana University Vikings. The Bulldogs remain the only NSIC team on the national rankings after moving up to the No.19 spot on the most recent WBCA poll. UMD now ranks first overall in the conference for field goal percentage and sits in the top three for blocks per game, scoring defense, three point percentage, and win percentage.
SCOUTING REPORT
The University of Sioux Falls Cougars are now 3-4 with a 1-2 conference record after their win over the Winona State Warriors. The Bulldogs are 8-3 against the Cougars since 2014, defeating them in their most recent meeting last season 72-54. The Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs are 2-6 with a 1-2 conference record this season after their recent loss to MSU Mankato. UMD is 8-2 against the Mustangs since 2014 and defeated them in their recent matchup last season 87-75.
LOOKING AHEAD
Women's basketball will take on the Concordia St. Paul Golden Bears on the road next week before returning to Duluth to host the Winona State University Warriors. The action will tip off for the Bulldogs on Thursday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 PM.
