The University of Minnesota Duluth women's basketball team travels to St. Cloud, Minn. to take on the St. Cloud State University Huskies this Saturday for their lone Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) matchup of the weekend.

THE SEASON SO FAR
The Bulldogs are fresh off their first win of their 2024 schedule, pulling out a narrow four point in over the Minot State University Beavers last Saturday. UMD now sits at sixth in the NSIC standings, with an overall record of 9-4 and a conference record of 6-3.
RANKINGS, RANKINGS, RANKINGS
After the Bulldogs dropped out of the Top 25 rankings Dec. 19, the NSIC still remains without a team in the WBCA national rankings. UMD ranks at the top of the conference in blocks per game (5.6) and field goal percentage (44.9%), and remains in the top three for free throw percentage (75.5%), scoring defense (60.1), and scoring margin (7.2).
SCOUTING REPORT - ST. CLOUD STATE
The St. Cloud State University Huskies sit at an 7-5 overall record and a 4-4 conference record after their pair of losses this past weekend against the University of Sioux Falls Cougars and the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs. It has been over a year since the last time these two teams tipped off against each other, with the Bulldogs beating the Huskies 64-55 on Dec. 18, 2022. UMD is now 13-11 against the Huskies since the 2013-14 season.
LOOKING AHEAD
Women's basketball is set to take on the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons and the Northern State University Wolves before returning to Romano Gym at the end of the month. The action for the Bulldogs will tip off on Friday, Jan.19, at 5:30 PM.
