THE SEASON SO FAR

The Bulldogs still sit at sixth place in the NSIC with an overall record of 12-7 and a conference record of 9-6. They will look to make a jump in the rankings against two teams they have already defeated this season in order to stay in the hunt for that first round bye for the conference tournament at the end of the month.

RANKINGS, RANKINGS, RANKINGS

No.22 Mankato still remains as the only NSIC team in the most recent WBCA national rankings, after the Bulldogs fell out of the rankings in early December. UMD holds onto the number ranking in the conference for field goal percentage (44.1%) and is top three in three other statistical categories, including: blocks per game (4.5), free throw percentage (73.4%), and three point percentage (33%).

BULLDOG STARTING FIVE

The veteran presence of the Bulldog starting five (consisting of Ella Gilbertson, Madelyn Granica, Taya Hakamaki, Lexi Karge, and Taytum Rhoades) continues to dominate on the offensive side of the ball. The core group has tallied 978 points, 427 rebounds, and 195 assists just this season so far.

SCOUTING REPORT - AUGUSTANA

Augustana sits at twelfth place in the conference with an overall record of 5-13 and a conference record of 4-10. The Bulldogs are 8-5 against the Vikings since 2014, most recently defeating them at home 82-68 earlier this season.

SCOUTING REPORT - WAYNE STATE

Wayne State sits at fourteenth in the conference with an overall record of 5-12 and a conference record of 2-12. The Bulldogs are 6-5 against the Wildcats since 2014, most recently defeating them at home 66-43 earlier this season.

LOOKING AHEAD

Women's basketball will return to Romano Gym next weekend to host Southwest Minn. State and the University of Sioux Falls. The action for the Bulldogs will tip off on Friday, Feb. 9, at 5:30 PM.
