UMD Football Releases 2025 Schedule

Season Opener Set for TCO Stadium Against Winona State

A first-ever game at TCO Stadium at Vikings Lake in Eagan, Minn. against Winona State University, along with five home games highlights the University of Minnesota Duluth 2025 football schedule, which was officially released Tuesday.

 

The Bulldogs and Warriors will face-off in a non conference showdown on neutral turf Thursday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. in UMD's season opener. TCO Stadium holds a capacity of 6,000 fans, and the contest will be the first NCAA football game ever held at the stadium. TCO Stadium is attached to the Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center, the Minnesota Vikings World Headquarters and Training Facility.

 

The 92nd season of Bulldog football will continue in the Twin Cities area the following week when UMD opens up Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play in St. Paul, Minn. Concordia University, St. Paul (Sept. 6). 

 

UMD will play three out four games in the home confines of James S. Malosky Stadium from there, including its home opener, which will double as Military Appreciation Day against Minnesota State University, Mankato on Sept. 13. After the Bulldogs travel to Sioux Falls, SD on Sept, 20 to face the University of Sioux Falls, they return for back-to-back home contests against Minnesota State University, Moorhead for Homecoming on Sept. 27, and Southwest Minnesota State University (Oct. 4).

 

It's a trip to Aberdeen to face Northern State University on Oct. 11 before the Bulldogs have a weekend off (Oct. 18). Following the break from outside competition, UMD will return home to face the University of Mary (Oct. 25) before facing newly minted NSIC member the University of Jamestown on the road in Jamestown, ND (Nov. 1), a first-ever meeting between the two programs.

 

UMD will host rival Bemidji State University for its annual Senior Day on Nov. 8 before closing out the regular season at Minot State University (Nov. 15).

 

The Bulldogs went 7-4 and 6-4 in NSIC play in 2024.
