The University of Minnesota Duluth Football Linebacker Jayce Walrath earned NSIC Defensive Player of the Week honors after making several key plays on defense in the Bulldogs 34-7 win over No. 22 Northern State.

The fifth year from Rice, Minnesota had a pass breakup and six tackles, including four tackles for loss and three sacks pushing the Wolves back 25 yards. His efforts helped lead the defense to just one touchdown allowed in a big victory for the Bulldogs. Walrath's selection is the second NSIC Player of the Week for the Bulldogs this season.

The Bulldogs have their bye week this week, but return to action on October 24th in Bismarck, North Dakota to play Mary. Kickoff is set for 1:00 p.m.
