University of Minnesota Duluth women's hockey sophomore Rae Mayer is one of 46 college players, along with 46 players under the age of 18 invited to the USA Hockey Women's National Festival that will take place August 2-9 in Lake Placid, N.Y.

The 25-player rosters for the U.S. Under-18 Women's Select Team and U.S. Collegiate Women's Select Team will be named at the conclusion of camp. Both teams will face Canada in a three-game series August 12-15 in Richmond, B.C. 

Bulldog assistant coach Olivia Soares will also serve on staff as a college evaluator for USA Hockey.

Mayer was UMD's third-highest scorer as a freshman last season, putting up 21 points on 12 goals and nine assists. Mayer led the team with three power play goals and had a season-best six game scoring streak from Oct. 24 through Nov. 21 where she ran up three goals and three assists -- four points which came against top-10 teams. This will mark Mayer's second time at the Festival after being named to the Under 18 side in 2024.
