Two University of Minnesota Duluth football players, Carter Geerts and Preston McQueen, were named to D2Football.com's Elite 100 Watch List, showcasing the best talents to look out for in Division II football this season.

McQueen was named to the First Team All-Defensive team, and was selected as one of the four top Defensive Backs in Division II this upcoming season. The Redshirt Junior is coming off of an NSIC All-Conference First Team season and is expected to be an impact player for the Bulldogs.

Geerts was named to the Second Team All-Offensive team, and was selected as a top-10 Offensive Lineman in Division II. The Rochester, Minnesota native will look to follow up his D2CCA All-Super Region Second Team and NSIC All-Conference First Team selections as a key piece of the Bulldogs line this season.

The Bulldogs will start their season in Pennsylvania against Slippery Rock on August 27th.
