AS A BULLDOG: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman in 2011.

BEFORE UMD: Was a standout in three sports (football, basketball and track) at Prescott High School ... started for three seasons started at inside linebacker and fullback for the football Cardinals ... paced the club in tackles as a senior and junior while serving as the Cardinals team captain ... was voted Prescott's Top Defensive Player those same two seasons ... received both the Prescott High School Male Student Athlete and Scholar Athlete awards in 2010-11 …participated in Wisconsin’s WFCA All- Star Football in the summer of 2011 … also lettered three years in basketball and track ... qualfied for the state meet in the 4 x 400 relays and set a Prescott High School record in that event.
