2017: Was granted an extra year of eligibility (medical redshirt) after suffering a season-ending upper body injury in Week Three against Minnesota State-Mankato ... still managed 13 receptions and 158 receiving yards his two-plus games  while serving as a team captain.
2016: Enjoyed a breakout year -- to say the least -- on his way to All-NSIC North Division first team stardom ... was also selected to the Don Hansen All-Super Region 3 third team ...  hauled in the sixth-most passes (61) for the fourth-most reception yards (1,047) in program history ... reigned as UMD's top punter returner as well, averaging 11.6 yards on 13 returns and one touchdown (a 62-yarder -- the longest by a Bulldog in three years --  versus Winona State on Sept. 20) ... added another 27 yards via the rush (on seven attempts) and completed his lone pass of the season (for 12 yards against Minnesota State-Moorhead) ... made at least one catch in all 12 games, including a career-best 10 in the regular season finale at St. Cloud State ... averaged 19.3 yards on three kick returns.
2015: Certainly made a name for himself as a jack-of-all trades ... went from being one of Drew Bauer's primary pass targets to replacing him at quarterback for the final three-plus games of the year ... turned in his second consecutive 17-catch season and set a career high with 356 receiving yards ... ... relieved Bauer in the last offensive series of the Oct. 31 road clash with Northern State after the All-NSIC North Division signal caller suffered a season-ending injury ... helped lead the Bulldogs to three straight victories the rest of the way, including a 30-22 Mineral Water Bowl triumph over Fort Hays State in the season finale ... completed 39 of 73 passes (53.4 percent) for 356 yards and three touchdowns on the year ... enjoyed his most productive day as a collegian on Nov. 14 by rushing 19 times for 100 yards and adding another 107 yards through the air against visiting Minot State ... broke loose for a 64-yard touchdown run and 59-yard scoring reception in that 36-10 triumph over the Beavers ... placed fifth on the team's rushing charts with 362 yards -- and four touchdowns on 73 carries ... also brought back four punts (for 28 yards) and three kickoff (for 73 yards).
2014: Blossomed into a nice addition to the Bulldog receiving squadron ... finished the year with 17 reception  for 216 yards and four touchdowns ... also rushed two times (for three yards) and even connected on his lone career pass attempt -- an 11-yard trick play scoring strike to quarterback Drew Bauer in a 63-28 rout of visiting Minnesota State-Moorhead on Oct. 4 ... returned two kicks and made six tackles as well.
2013: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Assembled a decorated three-year career at Stillwater High School, hauling in passes and returning kicks for head coach Beau LaBore … was showered with a litany of awards as a senior -- Suburban East Conference Most Valuable Player, Associated Press All-State, Pioneer Press All-State, Minnesota Vikings All-State, All-Suburban East Conference (for the second straight year) … also lettered in basketball and track and field for the Ponies.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Bill and Carol Ricci ... is majoring in marketing and management information systems at UMD.
