AS A BULLDOG:
2017: Handled the starting strong safety obligations for a second straight year  ... was a All-NSIC North Division honorable mention selection ... wrapped up the year with 28 total tackles to his name and tied for the team lead in fumble recoveries (three) ... brought back one of those miscues 68 yards for a touchdown in a 62-27 trouncing of Mary in the regular season finale  ... also had one interception on the year, giving him five for his career (no 2017 Bulldog had more) ... qualified for the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2016: Enjoyed a strong followup to his promising 2015 season ... secured All-NSIC North Division second team recognition after taking a backseat only to that league's Defensive Player of the Year Beau Bates on UMD's defensive leader board ... amassed a career-high 50 tackles, including 39 solo stops, while starting in nine of 12 games  ... also had a team-leading three interceptions ... the second of those picks came with 1:17 to go in the fourth quarter against Augustana on Sept. 24 that sealed UMD's 41-38 triumph over the visiting Vikings ... was a NSIC All-Academic Team honoree.
2015: Proved to be a valuable fit in the Bulldog defensive backfield ... did not see playing time in the season opener at Minnesota State-Mankato, but was called into service in each of the remaining 11 games ... made two starts (at cornerback) during the year ... was involved in 31 total tackles, including 1.0 sacks and 3.0 stops for negative yards ... had one interception (in the home finale with Minot State) as well as three pass break ups and one fumble recovery.
2014: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Three-year letterman and two-year starter at Benilde-St. Margaret's High School ... played under John Hanks and Pat Krieger ... All-North Suburban Conference first team (2013) and honorable mention (2011) pick ... scored touchdowns via pass reception, kick return, fumble return and interception return in 2013  ... led the 2013 Red Knights in touchdown receptions (6), solo tackles (39), interceptions (2), pass breakups (7) and fumble recoveries (3) ... prep teammate of fellow UMD sophomore Jack Sims ... also lettered in baseball (outfield) and basketball (guard) at Benilde-St. Margaret's. 
PERSONAL: Is the son of Dennis and Lynn Lynch ... his older brother, Jon, was a quarterback with the Bulldogs from 2008-12 ... is majoring in finance at UMD.
COLLEGIATE HIGHS: Total Tackles - 8 vs. Sioux Falls (9/21/17) and at Emporia State (11/19/16). Sacks - 1.0 vs. St. Cloud State (10/10/15). Tackles For Loss - 2.0 vs. Northern State (10/15/16). Interceptions - 1 (5 Times). Pass Breakups - 2 (3 Times).
