AS A BULLDOG
2017: Lined up under center on opening night at James S. Malosky Stadium and also started the following game at Upper Iowa  before suffering a season-ending upper body injury during the 33-21 victory over the Peacocks ... put up 50 passes (a 2017 UMD high) in the opener versus Sioux Falls completing 26 of those for 228 yards ... threw his first collegiate touchdown strike against Upper Iowa while going 2-for-10.
2016: Took the most snaps of any non-starting UMD quarterback ... was record-setting senior Drew Bauer's chief replacement and that earned him six relief appearances ... made good on 15 of 26 passes for 141 yards with one pick and no touchdowns in those half dozen outings ... rushed 12 times for an additional 59 yards and scored twice ... debuted in UMD's Sept. 17 road win over Concordia-St. Paul.
2015: Was red-shirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter at Addison Trail High School ... was a 2014 Illinois High School Football Coaches Association Class 7A All-State selection, a All-West Suburban Conference pick, the WSG Offensive Player of the Year, and the Suburban Life's All-Area Most Valuable Player ... suffered a season-ending ankle injury in Week 8 of his senior year (had led the Blazers to a 7-0 record at that point), but still managed to throw for 822 yards and 11 touchdowns while adding another 420 yards (and nine scores) on the ground ... amassed 2,207 passing yards, 734 rushing yards and 34 total touchdown during his three years with the Blazer varsity ... played for head coach Paul Parpet Jr ... lettered twice in baseball (shortstop, pitcher) at Addison Trail H.S.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Ed and Sandy Rybarczyk ... is majoring in business at UMD.
