GETTING TO KNOW MACKENZIE SEDLACK: 
Favorite Track Meet: NSIC Outdoor Conference meet -- love spending the whole weekend with the team. It’s a great way to end out the season and see all of your hard work throughout the season.
Why I Chose UMD: UMD was bottom on my list because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to be 4 hours from home but, I came to tour UMD and it just felt right and I decided that day, “YUP! I’m going here”
Influences On My Athletic Career: My high school track coach really pushed me in my final two years mentally within the sport and my parents have always cheered me on during my good and not so good meets.
Favorite College Course: Mock Trial and Abnormal Psychology
What Most People Don’t Know About Me:  My childhood nickname was goose (my parents still call me this even today)
Most Memorable UMD Athletic Moment: My first year of throwing, I had the opportunity to attend outdoor conference and I threw a huge PR (7 meters farther than my PR coming into conference) in the hammer throw and placed 11th in the conference which was pretty cool for my first year.
Pre-Meet Ritual or Superstition: I wear the same sports bra every time I compete and my hair is always in two braids.
Sport I’d Like to Try Someday: Rugby

Years Lettered/Competed with Varsity: Competed Varsity for 3 years and a 2-time letterwinner
High School Highlights: 2-time letterwinner in Track & Field, 4-time letter winner in concert band, Participated in Honors select conference band 3 years in a row.
