Before UMD: competed for the University of Wisconsin Madison • Four-time letter winner in cross country and track for Hermantown High School • Two-time Minnesota State Class AA cross country qualifier • Finished 15th at the Minnesota State Class AA Cross Country Championships • Letter winner in nordic ski, golf and swimming • Three-time Minnesota State Class AA golf qualifier • Member of Junior Rotarian and National Honors Society
