AS A BULLDOG:
2021: Started in all 47 games of the season ...used primarily as a catcher ... racked up 36 runs, 53 hits, 13 doubles, and eight homeruns on the season ... tallied 38 RBI, including a career-high six RBI in one game on March 17 against the University of Mary ... recorded 143 putouts with only one error ... ended the year with an impressive .994 fielding percentage ... attained a host of postseason accolades -- she was named to the NSIC All-Conference First Team and D2CCA Second Team ... also excelled in the classroom and was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
2020: Continued to build an impressive resume with the Bulldogs ... started in all 19 games played before the season was canceled due to COVID-19 ... racked up 12 runs and 22 hits, including five doubles, a triple, and three homeruns ... tallied 15 RBI ... recorded a slugging percentage of .535.
2019: Was used primarily at the designated hitter position with some spot appearances at catcher ... closed out the year with a .287 batting average (only two Bulldogs hit at a better clip) while starting in 53 of 55 games ... paced the Bulldogs home runs (12) as well as both stolen bases (11) and stolen base attempts (15) ... drove in a UMD 2019-high seven runs at Upper Iowa on April 20 ...  attained NSIC All-Academic Team recognition and a NFCA Scholar-Athlete Award (for the second year in a row).
2018: Made an immediate impact as a collegiate rookie  ... blasted 16 home runs, breaking the single-season program record set by Kierra Jeffers in 2013 ... was the program's first-ever Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association National Player of the Week (3/14) ... hit .667, going 12-for-18 with seven home runs and a triple while knocking in 15 RBI and scoring 11 times to go along with five stolen bases during her national weekly honor ... capped the season hitting .310 with a .386 on-base percentage and a .626 slugging percentage, which was third on the team ... ranked first on the team and in the NSIC in home runs ... belted the 13th-most home runs and the second most by a freshman in the nation ... drove in 48 runs and stole 27 bases ... compiled a 98.9 fielding percentage in 186 chances .. was one of six NFCA All-American Scholar-Athletes for UMD.

 BEFORE UMD: Is  2017 graduate of Chanhassen H.S. ... was a four-year starter as a catcher and third baseman with the Storm under the guidance of head coach Joe Coenen ... captained Chanhassen to the 2016 Minnesota State Class 4A title where she was named to the All-Tournament Team after hitting at a .625 clip in that three-game event ... returned to the 2017 State Tournament taking third place ... received Minnesota Fastpitch Coaches Association All-State team selections her final three seasons, All-Metro West Conference and Minneapolis Star Tribune All-Metro first team honors three times (2015, 2016 and 2017) ... as a junior, she batted .530, hit 11 homers, and drove in 50 runs to go with a sizzling 1.054 slugging percentage ... her sophomore year she led the metro area in home runs (9), RBI (38) and hits (46), contributing to her .568 batting average ... also lettered two years as a forward in basketball.

PERSONAL: Born Jessica Bren in Victoria, Minn. ... is the daughter of Pete and Kim Bren ... has one brother (Jason) ... is majoring in social work at UMD.
