Biography
GETTING TO KNOW ISAAC OVERMYER:
Favorite Cross Country Meet: Conference meet in Sioux Falls, 2016, because it was my birthday and it was really flat and there was a hot air balloon in the sky.
Favorite Track Meet: The La Crosse Invite in Wisconsin, because there is a schweeeet view of cool bluffs in the distance and I ran well there my freshman year.
Why I Chose UMD: Its three hours from home, which is the perfect distance to go home once a month or so, but not all the time. Plus all the other obvious outdoor perks.
Influences On My Athletic Career: My AWESOME parents Jeff and Sari, Tom Stambaugh, Kerry Johnson, Hope Johnson, and Matt Lundstrom
Favorite College Course: NOT Jazz Studies (lol)
What Most People Don’t Know About Me: I’ve chipped my teeth about 8 times and the front two are completely fake
Most Memorable UMD Athletic Moment: My very first cross country meet freshman year the race directors steered runners the wrong way and others the right way and it was a whole fiasco and I felt like several of my teammates were mad at me for finishing before them, which translated to me being mad at my mom for no reason besides wanting to give me a hug after the race, and ultimately a very cruddy six-hour ride back to Park Rapids for her and my dad.
Pre-meet Ritual: Coffee and bagel
