GETTING TO KNOW MATTHEW:
Why I Chose UMD: I have always loved the area of Duluth and since UMD had a good chemistry program, I decided to go here. A few hills won't hurt, right?
Influences On My Athletic Career: My family has had the biggest impact on my running career. They are always there to cheer me on, even during a bad race. My father was a little protective though, he was at every single practice and meet. Â
What Most People Don't Know About Me:Â I played the piano for many years.
