Biography

GETTING TO KNOW NICOLE:
Favorite Track Meet:
NSIC Outdoor Conference meet 2018 – it was awful weather, but I ran really well and I medaled in the 400m Hurdles!
Why I Chose UMD: I chose UMD because it has a great art program for digital design and was a school I could walk on for Track. Also Duluth is a beautiful city that offers me a lot of opportunities to go on adventures with friends so that's an added bonus of choosing UMD.
Influences On My Athletic Career: My high school coaches had a big influence on me and I kind of owe them a big thank you for building me up to be such a strong athlete both physically and mentally. They pushed me to be the best I could be and actually told me to be a hurdler...now look where I am!
Favorite College Course: Advanced Alternative Process Photography
What Most People Don't Know About Me: I’m a total plant nerd
Most Memorable UMD Athletic Moment: Still finishing in the top 15 at outdoor conference (2017) in the 400m Hurdles with 2 stress fractures. Not gonna lie it hurt a little...
Pre-Meet Ritual or Superstition: Before I get into my blocks I jump up and down 2 times and sway side to side a little bit while I listen to my mom yell “GO COLE!!!!” really loud, take a breath and get into my blocks.
Favorite Professional Athlete: Mia Hamm
Sport I'd Like to Try Someday: Hockey (so I can check people into the boards)
