AS A BULLDOG: Debuted with the Bulldogs in 2013 and dutifully bided his time as the team’s No. 2 signal caller ... took snaps in all but two outings one year ago and wound up throwing for 153 yards and a pair of scores while going 14-of-19 ... added 49 yards and three touchdowns via the rush (on 20 carries) ... went down with a knee injury in the 2013 NCAA II playoff opener against Emporia State and sat out the season finale one week later at Northwest Missouri State ... notched UMD’s only two-point conversion off the run last fall (was 1-for-2 in that department).COLLEGIATE HIGHS: Pass Attempts - 5 at Upper Iowa (9/14/13). BEFORE UMD: Spent a coouple of seasons with the South Dakota State University football program before migrating to UMD last fall ... completed four of 11 passes for 32 yards and rushed for 24 yards on six attempts while appearing in six games -- including one as a starter (the season opener at the University of Kansas) -- with the 2012 Jackrabbits ... was redshirted as a first-year SDSU freshman in 2011 ... is a 2011 graduate of Blaine High School ... received the Minneapolis Star Tribune Player of the Year award and St. Paul Pioneer Press All-State distinction as a senior after throwing for 2,002 yards and 10 touchdowns ... added another 1,086 yards and 24 scores on the ground ... quarterbacked the Bengals to a 29-4 record during his time with the varsity.
