AS A BULLDOG: Lettered last year as a reliable reserve offensive tackle and that may be the scenario facing him for 2012 ... was All-NSIC North Division honoree Tom Olson’s top reliever on the right side last fall ... was redshirted as a first-year freshman in 2010.

BEFORE UMD: Was a four-season fixture on the defensive and offensive fronts for head coach Brian Toelle and the Amherst High School Falcons … received All-Central Wisconsin 8 Conference first team recognition as a junior and was a member of the circuit's second tea the following fall … suited up for the North Team at the 2010 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star game … was an all-conference performer in track and field (shot and discus) for the Falcons and played four years of varsity prep basketball as well.
