AS A BULLDOG:
Junior- Showed her versatility by splitting time at left field, pitcher and designated hitter in 52 games in her junior season  … attained second team All-Conference honors … improved her play at the plate bumping her batting average up 88 points (.327) and her on-base percentage 91 point (.413) from a year ago …finished third among the team in home runs (8) and RBIs (36)  … inched herself closer to the all-time career pitching records at UMD going 6-4 with a 3.37 ERA in 62 1/3 innings of work in 2013 …  tossed her first career no-hitter against Slippery Rock on March 20 striking out a season-high eight batters … had a stretch of 13 runs batted in during a five-game hitting streak.

Sophomore- Shattered numerous UMD pitching records during her second year: innings pitched (267.1), appearances (46), starts (35), games won (26), complete games (36) and strikeouts (272) … starred in a pitching duel against UW-Parkside which included 15 innings of shutout ball that featured her fanning a career high 18 hitters in a 4-0 victory … granted a spot on the All-NSIC team (second team) … hit .239 on the year with seven home runs and 28 RBIs …  

Freshman- Named NSIC Freshman of the Year ... corralled that honor after racking up a Bulldog single-season record 194 strikeouts to go with a 2.28 earned run average in 156 1/3 innings of mound work ... went 16-9 on the year and won 12 straight decisions between April 6 and May 13 before being saddled with a 3-1 loss to Augustana College in the NCAA II Central 1 Regional ... set another program mark with eight shut outs ... made 31 pitching appearances, 21 as a starter ... batted .269 and placed fourth on the team in home runs with six.

BEFORE UMD: Is a 2010 graduate of Hermantown High School ... five-year softball letterwinner and a team captain her senior year ... was Section 7AAA Runner-Up twice and Champions in 2008 and 2009 ... led her team to a State Class A Championship in 2009 ...  was chosen the Duluth News Tribune Player of the Year and to the St. Paul Pioneer Press All-State Team in 2008 and 2009 ... established a state record for most strikeouts in a single game (31 in 14 inning) as a junior which was eventually broken later that spring ... also earned three letters in both soccer and basketball and captained both teams during her final prep season.

PERSONAL: Born Megan Aline Mullen February 7, 1992 ... is the daughter of Scott and Marge Mullen ... has one older sister (Alyssa) who attended UMD ... is majoring in Business at UMD.
