Biography

AS A BULLDOG:
2021: Dressed in all twelve games for the Bulldogs. Finished second on the team in tackles with 40 solo and 17 assisted for 57 total tackles. Intercepted two passes. Noted 2.0 tackles for a loss of four yards, while also tallying four pass breakups. Earned All-NSIC First Team honors for the second time in his career. 
2020: Season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
2019: Played in four games for the Bulldogs. Posted 21 total tackles, 17 of them being solo tackles. Tallied 2.5 TFL for a total of nine yards. On the season, notched one interception and three pass break-ups. 
2018: Carved out a nice niche as a relief specialist for All-NSIC first team senior strong safety Sam Lynch ... appeared in all 12 games and had 17 total tackles to show for it ... picked up five of those stops while being deployed on special teams ... wore no. 12.
2017: Was red-shirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Three-year starter (wide receiver, defensive back and running back) at Westosha Central High School ... was chosen to the All-Southern Lakes Conference first team in 2016 -- one year after being an honorable mention pick ... played under head coach Tyson Mengel ... was a four-time Falcon track letterman (sprints and long jump).
PERSONAL: Is the son of Glenn and Jane Kurylo ... has one younger sibling (Kelsey) ... is majoring in finance at UMD.
COLLEGIATE HIGHS: Total Tackles - 4 at Minnesota Crookston (10/27/19) and vs. MSU-Moorhead (9/8/18).  Tackles For Loss - 1.5 at Minnesota Crookston (10/27/18). Pass Breakups - 1 at Minnesota Crookston (10/27/18) and vs. MSU-Moorhead (9/8/18).
