AS A BULLDOG:
2017: Received a promotion to the first team and did not disappoint ... finished fifth among Bulldogs in tackles with a career-high 39 stops (including 6.0 for a loss and 3.5 quarterback sacks) on his way to corralling All-NSIC North Division first team acclaim ... made 10 starts at inside linebacker ... did not take part in the Mineral Water Bowl due to an upper body injury ... was a member of the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2016: Lined up behind All-NSIC talent Zach Bassuener at outside linebacker for the second consecutive season ...played in 11 games -- all in relief -- and racked up nine total tackles ... two of those stops resulted in negative yards for the opposition ... was the only 2016 Bulldog with more than one punt return tackle (he had two) ... qualified for the NSIC All-Academic Team.
2015: Was one of a handful of young linebacking talent the Bulldogs had at their colective disposal ... played in all but one game and finished the year with seven total tackles to his credit ... got three of those stops in a 66-17 home rout of Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 24.
2014: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD:  Was a three-year letterman (linebacker and fullback) and two-year starter at Menomonie High School ... played under head coach Joe Labuda .... was a  2013 All-State, All-Region and All-Big Rivers Conference first team selection ... served as a Mustang team captain during his senior year ... also lettered four times in hockey (forward/defense) and three times in baseball (All-Conference shortstop) as a prep. 
PERSONAL:  Is the son of Duey and Kay Naatz ... his father served for three years (2007-09) as the University of Wisconsin-Stout's head football coach and currently is the athletic director at that institution ... his older brother, Tyler, is a former Wisconsin-Stout defensive back ... is majoring in integrated elementary and special education at UMD.
COLLEGIATE HIGHS: Total Tackles - 6 at Northern State (10/14/17). Sacks - 2.0 vs. St. Cloud State (9/28/17). Tackles For Loss - 2.0 vs. St. Cloud State (9/28/17).
