• 2019 TEAM CAPTAIN •
AS A BULLDOG: 
2018: Assumed a fulltime starting role in the UMD defensive secondary last fall and went on to attain All-NSIC second team recognition ... finished second among Bulldogs in total tackles with a career-high 55 stops ... also had a pair of pass breakups to his junior-year credit.
2017: Handled the starting strong safety assignment for three games ... figured in on 25 tackles and set a career high for unassisted stops with 15 ... also had one of UMD's 13 interceptions on the season (vs. Minot State on Oct. 21).
2016: Made his Bulldog debut one week into the season in UMD's 34-31 home takedown of Winona State and became more and more of a defensive backfield factor as the year wore on ... appeared in 10 games in all, including two as a starter (vs. Minnesota State-Moorhead and Mary) and had 27 tackles (including 14 solos stops) to show for it ... also registered two picks (at Minnesota Crookston on Oct. 29 and the other versus Mary one week later in Duluth) and broke up five passes ... seven of his tackles came on kickoff returns.
AS A BULLDOG: Was red-shirted as a first-year freshman in 2015.
BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter at Hopkins High School ... attained All-Lake Conference honors and landed a spot on the Minneapolis Star-Tribune All-Metro (second team) in 2014 ... played for head coach John DenHartog ... was voted the Royals' Most Valuable Offensive Player as a senior  ... is a three-time Hopkins High School track and field letterman (long jump, triple jump, 4x200 meter relay) and was a member of the 2014 Class Minnesota State High School Class AA champion Royals.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Adam Strong and Brandie Rush ... is majoring in exercise science at UMD
COLLEGIATE HIGHS: Total Tackles - 9 at Winona State (10/20/18).  Interceptions - 1 (Three Times).
