BEFORE UMD: Two-time football letterman (defensive end) and two-year starter at Brookfield East H.S.... played under head coach Tom Swittel ... All-Great Metro Conference first team and Greater Metro Conference Scholar-Athlete award winner (2013)... Spartan team captain (2013) ... finished senior year with 50 total tackles, 10.0 tackles for a loss, 2.0 sacks and two fumble recoveries ... starter on the 2012 Greater Metro Conference champion Spartans ...  also lettered three times in baseball (catcher and outfielder), track (sprints) and ice hockey (forward).  PERSONAL: Is the son of Christopher and Kelley Durni.
