Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.

BEFORE UMD: Played four years for the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm. Played wide receiver, linebacker, and defensive end during his high school career. Was named a team captain during his senior season. Earned all-district honors during both his junior and senior seasons. Was named an all-district defensive lineman during his senior season. Lettered all four years as a sprinter on the track team. Started two years on the basketball team, and earned all-conference honorable mention. 

PERSONAL: Son of Mark and Steph ... has two siblings (Max and Walker)... is majoring in physical education at UMD.
