Alec Ramirez joined the UMD Football Staff prior to the 2022 season, coaching the cornerbacks.
In his first season with the Bulldogs, Ramirez coached Dayvia Gbor, who earned Second Team CCA All-Super Region 4 accolades after finishing third nationally and leading the NSIC with seven interceptions. Gbor was also a Cliff Harris Award nominee. The UMD pass defense led the NSIC and was second in the league with 13 interceptions as a unit.
Prior to being on the Bulldogs’ staff, Ramirez was a Graduate Assistant on the Southern Arkansas University staff in 2021. From 2017-21, he was a Student Assistant at Division I University of Texas at Austin.
The Temple, Texas native graduated from the University of Texas in 2021 with a degree in Physical Culture and Sport.
