BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter (RB/DL) at Northwestern High School… played under head coach Jovin Kroll… team captain his senior year… earned First-Team All-Conference his junior and senior year… named Heart ‘O North Offensive Player of the Year in 2024… earned All-State running back…participated in track & field as well (throws and sprints).

PERSONAL: Son of UMD alumni, Peter and Crystal Lawton… has one brother (Sawyer) and one sister (Tenley)… father Peter Lawton is a Hall of Famer at UMD for football… mother Crystal Lawton played volleyball at UMD… earned Honor Roll and Academic All-State… was a part of the National Honor Society… graduated class of 2025 from Northwestern High School.
