AS A BULLDOG:
2017: Proved to be a promising addition to UMD's second line of defense ... accumulated 24 tackles while taking part in nine games ... made one start (inside linebacker) -- in the season finale against Central Missouri -- and came away with a career-high 10 stops ... also was credited with five quarterback hurries ... sat out two outings (Minnesota State-Moorhead and Northern State) with a lower body injury.
2016: Was redshirted as a first-year freshman.
BEFORE UMD: Two-year starter (linebacker/running back) at Patrick Henry High School ... was bestowed with a All-Conference citation in 2015 after leading the Patriots in both rushing and total tackles ... handled team captaincy duties that same season ...  landed both the Patriots Most Valuable Player and Defensive MVP Award as well ... played under head coach Mark Hieser ... also started a pair of seasons in basketball (forward) and one year in baseball (right field) during his high school tenure.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Shante and Cory Dixon Sr. ... is majoring in communication sciences and disorders at UMD.
