• 3x NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week
Kicked in all twelve games for UMD. Went 13 for 17 on field goals during the season. Made 42 of 47 extra point attempts. Longest field goal of the season was 51 yards against Concordia-St. Paul in week seven. Attempted 72 kickoffs and totaled 3,737 yards.

BEFORE UMD: Four-year starter (placekicker/punter) at Mineral Point High School ... played under head coach Andy Palzkill ... landed Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-State first team honors as a placekicker in 2018 ....  was a four-time All-Southwest Wisconsin Activities League placekicker and a one-time All-SWAL punter (2018) ... also was chosen as a semifinalist for the Kevin Stemke Award (most outstanding Wisconsin high school kicker/punter) as a senior team captain  ... exited the Pointer football program ranking ninth in PATs and 15th in placekicking points in Wisconsin high school history ... has lettered three years in baseball (all-conference pitcher and utility player) and will captain the Pointers in 2019 ... participated one year in wrestling as well ... earned Academic All-State status in both sports ... member of the National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Chris and Trisha Cox ... has one younger sister (Katelyn) ... is majoring in chemistry and minoring in marketing at UMD.
